September 2023 …

Feel the power at Power of the Past

An annual show will expose attendees to the raw power of steam engines and other antique farm equipment.

The Power of the Past Antique Engine and Tractor Show, Sept. 8-10 at Forest Park in Ottawa, features a variety of activities designed to appeal to veteran attendees and newcomers alike. The show will include demonstrations of hay baling, threshing, and shingle milling; tractor pulls, horse-powered equipment, a flea market, food vendors and lots of ice cream will keep attendees entertained and well fed.

Speaking of food, be sure to show up early on Friday, Sept. 8, and enjoy a free meal of ham and beans from 4 p.m. until it’s gone (with paid admission). Admission is $5 for all three days; kids under 12 are free.
