Veterans Day parade will honor our military heroes

The annual Leavenworth County Veterans Day Parade will march down the streets of downtown Leavenworth on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. This will be the 107th year for the popular event, honoring all American military servicepeople who served in the Armed Forces honorably.

The holiday was formerly known as Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918.
