Fall is festival time in Walnut

One of Iowa’s best antique festivals is getting ready to return to Walnut’s American Legion Hall, Oct. 10-11.

The Walnut Fall Antique and Stoneware Festival is much more than a place to find quality antiques and Red Wing pottery and stoneware. Shoppers will find furniture, primitives, collectibles, advertising, and upcycled and repurposed items.

According to event organizers, the popularity of the festival has seen them expand space; it now occupies the American Legion building, the AmVet building, and the surrounding vicinity. The show is free and open to the public and will take place, rain or shine.
